Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a fast-paced Emergency Department position requiring strong pediatric skills and Epic EMR experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department setting
- Handles a wide variety of cases, including trauma, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, and substance use emergencies
- Patient census averages 70 with 160 visits per day in a 50-bed, 36-room unit
- Special procedures include conscious sedation, trauma alerts, stroke alerts, and SANE consultation
- Utilizes specialized equipment, including Point of Care US, EPOC, Belmont, Ranger, and teleneurology systems
- Systems in use include Epic for charting, Omnicell for medication management, and SBAR/Voalte for communication
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00pm–7:30am, with 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- No call responsibilities
- Floating to ICU or within ED for 'helping hands' duties, including patient sitting, may be required
- Responsibilities include triage, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and care for a broad range of emergency cases across all ages
- Supporting a team nursing model and helping hands approach, assisting in ICU or ED as needed
- Unit orientation consists of 36 hours including classroom and clinical time
- Scrubs may be any color
- Local travelers within 50 miles are accepted at a reduced rate

- Active NH or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years recent Emergency Department experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Current certifications in ACLS, CPI, PALS, TNCC (only AHA or Red Cross accepted)
- Experience with pediatric patients highly preferred
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Former employees of SolutionHealth facilities are not eligible
- Professional references required for consideration
