Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking Senior CNC Machinists for our client located in Newburyport, MA. This is a great opportunity for an experienced machinist who enjoys working with precision equipment, taking initiative, and helping improve processes in a busy, team-oriented environment
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm
Pay Range: $28.00 - $38.00 p/h DOE
Job Functions include:
- Set up, operate, and program CNC machining centers and turning centers independently
- Perform CNC programming and editing as needed
- Manufacture parts to tight tolerances using blueprints, specifications, and work instructions
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Measure components and materials using precision instruments, gauges, and tools
- Monitor work in process, identify issues, and take corrective actions
- Troubleshoot machining challenges and support teammates as needed
- Operate all machining equipment within the work cell
- Report defective materials, faulty equipment, or unusual circumstances to the Production Manager
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
The Ideal Candidate MUST have
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining centers and turning centers (setup, operation, and programming)
- Proven ability to set up fixtures, calculate feed rates, and determine cutting speeds
- Strong CNC programming and program editing experience
- Experience with Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Trak CNC controls (highly preferred)
- Experience with MasterCam or similar software a plus
- Manual machining experience preferred
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, Lean, or 5S practices is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and follow all safety protocols
- Willingness to work overtime when required
