Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level III Trauma OR with active MA RN license and AHA BLS certification required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a 15-bed Level III Trauma Operating Room within a complex community hospital setting
  • Patient population includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric surgical cases
  • Clinician to patient ratio is 1:1
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Day/evening rotating shifts with core hours from 7:00am to 5:30pm
  • Weekend rotation required, typically 1-2 shifts per 4-week schedule
  • Evening rotations required, typically 1-2 shifts per 4-week schedule
  • On-call required with 1 holiday call and 2-3 weekday calls per 4-week schedule; weekend shifts include call coverage
  • No floating required
  • Responsibilities include circulating in multispecialty cases within a trauma-level OR environment
  • Team supports both pediatric and adult/geriatric surgeries
  • Will be required to participate in holiday call coverage
  • Strict dress code and scrub requirements apply per hospital standards
  • Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from central Boston to qualify for standard rate
  • Parking may incur a daily cost; public transportation is available
  • First time travelers will be considered

\n \n Requirements\n

  • Active Massachusetts RN license required; no conditional or pending licenses accepted
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • 1-2 years of Operating Room RN experience preferred
  • Ability to independently circulate and demonstrate multispecialty competence in the OR
  • Proficiency in aseptic technique
  • Experience using Epic EMR is required
  • Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
