Job Description

Job DescriptionEmbark on a transformative travel opportunity as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Long-Term Care, Bennington, Vermont, and become a vital member of a dedicated team shaping the everyday lives of residents who deserve comfort, respect, and exceptional care. This role invites you to blend clinical excellence with heartfelt compassion, delivering hands-on support in a setting that values dignity, continuity, and quality outcomes. As you step into this role beginning on 11/17/2025 for multi-week engagements with extension possibilities, you’ll discover how meaningful every shift can be when you’re part of a community that treats care as a calling and not just a job. Vermont’s beauty is unmistakable—rolling hills, fall foliage, and the tranquil charm of Bennington’s downtown, with easy access to outdoor adventures, scenic drives, and cultural landmarks. From the Green Mountains to nearby historic sites, you’ll find inspiration in the state’s natural splendor and vibrant small-town atmosphere. And for those who crave even broader horizons, our network opens doors to assignments across the U.S., offering diverse facilities and settings that broaden your professional perspective while keeping you supported every step of the way. You’ll experience the best of both worlds: the warmth of a close-knit Vermont community and the professional variety that comes with travel nursing.

Location Benefits: Bennington, nestled in southern Vermont, delivers a peaceful yet engaging backdrop for your nursing career. Imagine morning walks along charming streets, evenings at local eateries with farm-to-table flavors, and weekends exploring nearby museums, farms, and outdoor escapes. The region’s slower pace can be a refreshing counterbalance to the intensity of acute care, while still presenting opportunities to refine your geriatric caregiving skills in long-term care settings. Working in Vermont offers access to excellent state-supported services, a strong sense of community, and a network of healthcare facilities that value continuity of care. Should you wish to explore beyond Bennington, your travel assignment can include placements across the U.S., providing exposure to varied resident populations, care models, and interdisciplinary collaboration—all with round-the-clock support from our team, so you never navigate a course alone.

Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Long-Term Care Licensed Practical Nurse, you’ll deliver essential direct patient care under the supervision of RNs and in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Core responsibilities include performing head-to-toe assessments, monitoring vitals, administering medications and treatments per plan of care, assisting with activities of daily living, wound care, bowel and bladder management, and fall prevention. You’ll document observations accurately, communicate changes to the nursing team, participate in care conferences, and support family education to promote resident well-being and autonomy. Your role also encompasses care planning support, medication reconciliation, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a serene and secure environment for residents with chronic and complex needs. This position offers substantial room for professional growth within the long-term care specialty—opportunities to enhance geriatric assessment skills, become certified in key practice areas, and take on mentorship roles for newer team members as you demonstrate expertise and leadership in daily routines, care coordination, and quality improvement initiatives.

Compensation for this travel opportunity is competitive, with weekly pay between $1,420 and $1,537, reflecting your experience and the scope of responsibilities. You’ll enjoy guaranteed 40 hours per week, providing financial stability as you plan your schedule and training. In addition to salary, benefits include a sign-on bonus and housing assistance, designed to ease transition into travel assignments and ensure you have a comfortable base near your assignment site. We also offer extension opportunities, giving you the chance to stay longer in locations you love or to explore new placements as your career evolves. Throughout your travel journey, you’ll receive 24/7 support from our dedicated team, ensuring you have access to immediate guidance, credential assistance, and on-demand resources whenever you need them. Comprehensive onboarding and ongoing education are part of our commitment to helping you grow in your specialty, adapt to varied facility cultures, and deliver the highest standard of resident-centered care.

Company Values: Our organization is built on principles of empowerment, respect, and continuous advancement. We are devoted to supporting our staff in pursuing meaningful career progression—whether that means expanding clinical competencies in long-term care, pursuing specialty certifications, or moving into leadership roles within care teams. We foster a collaborative, inclusive environment where every nurse’s voice matters, workload is managed with fairness, and professional development is a shared priority. Our culture emphasizes resilience, compassion, integrity, and accountability, ensuring you feel valued, heard, and equipped to provide exceptional care while maintaining balance in your personal and professional life.

Call to Action: If you’re ready to bring warmth, expertise, and leadership to residents who rely on you every day, apply now to join our vibrant travel nursing team. This is your chance to grow in a supportive environment, experience Vermont’s charm, and contribute to long-term care across diverse settings. Your dedication will be met with comprehensive support, meaningful work, and opportunities to extend your impact as you advance your career with a company that truly values your contribution and professional development.
