Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity calls for a licensed pharmacist ready to take charge of pharmacy operations with a focus on compliance, staff leadership, and patient care. The role is based in Brockton, MA, with a contract-to-hire arrangement offering a chance to transition into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations including prescription dispensing and medication counseling.
  • Maintain thorough records of pharmacy transactions, inventory, and controlled substances.
  • Develop and enforce policies promoting safe and efficient pharmacy practices.
  • Lead and support pharmacy staff, fostering professional growth and high-quality service.
  • Manage inventory levels effectively to balance availability with waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve medication-related issues.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring excellent service.
  • Stay current with industry trends, medications, and regulatory changes to maintain compliance.
  • Conduct audits to identify and mitigate compliance and safety risks.
  • Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment by upholding infection control and safety standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license.
  • 2-4 years of experience in long-term care pharmacy.
  • Recent pharmacy management experience, preferably in long-term care settings.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, primarily day shift, with some evening and weekend coverage as needed.
