Registered Nurse needed for a contract assignment on a 32-bed Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg Unit located in Salem, MA. This role requires a nurse skilled in telemetry and neuro assessment with the ability to interpret telemetry strips accurately. The position offers night shifts with every other weekend schedule and requires floating to applicable units as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic, neuro, and medical overflow patients.
- Interpret telemetry strips and monitor cardiac rhythms.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient care goals.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC electronic medical records.
- Adhere to patient ratio guidelines to ensure safe, quality care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Massachusetts RN license and BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Med/Surg nursing with demonstrated telemetry competency.
- Strong neuro assessment skills.
- Ability to float to related units when requested.
- Comfortable working night shifts without rotation; some day shift rotation may be required for certain roles.
Schedule:
- Night shifts, 36 hours per week, every other weekend coverage required.
- Low frequency rotating shifts for day roles (7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a) when applicable.
