Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Data Reporting Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of client data, leveraging advanced tools and strategies. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and expertise in data visualization and reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and distribute both recurring and ad-hoc management reports using modern tools and methodologies.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all management reports by documenting processes and maintaining supporting materials.
• Identify and address data inconsistencies caused by errors in feeder systems, working closely with relevant teams to resolve issues.
• Extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple systems, utilizing spreadsheets and visualization software to identify anomalies and drive corrections.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for new reporting needs and ensure their successful implementation.
• Monitor and enhance data quality across reporting systems, ensuring compliance with established standards.
• Utilize advanced tools such as Tableau and Microsoft SQL to create impactful data visualizations and reporting solutions.
• Assist in troubleshooting and improving data workflows to optimize reporting efficiency.• Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience in data administration, financial analysis, or reporting.
• Proficiency in Tableau, including Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server, with demonstrated experience creating complex visualizations.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and VBA, as well as expertise in SQL and SQL Server.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail, with a deep understanding of relational data structures.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage various assignments in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in Cognos and other business intelligence tools is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with research administration systems and higher education environments is preferred.
