MA Licensed Optician Position Summary:
Belchertown Eye Care & Sunglass Shop is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MA Licensed Optician to join our team of eye care professionals in Belchertown, MA. As a Licensed Optician, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding vision care services and products to our patients. In this role, you will perform various duties related to eyeglass sales, dispensing, lens fabrication, and contact lens evaluation, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

Hourly Rate Range: $34 - $45 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eyeglass dispensing and sales, including frame selection, lens design, and lens options consultation.
- Conduct accurate measurements, adjustments, and fittings to ensure optimal comfort and vision for patients.
- Neutralize lenses, verify prescriptions, and maintain high-quality control standards.
- Fabricate lenses using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques.
- Conduct contact lens evaluations, fittings, and follow-up care for patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and communicate with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with current industry trends, new products, and advancements in vision care technology.
- Ensure a welcoming, professional, and customer-focused environment for patients.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current Massachusetts Licensed Optician certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed optician in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Strong knowledge of various lens types, coatings, materials, and frame options.
- Proficiency in optical measurements, adjustments, and fittings.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with optical software and digital technology.
