Job Description

Senior Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Boston, MA | Hybrid Schedule

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 (Based on Experience)

About the Opportunity

Join an established, mid-size Boston law firm with a stellar reputation for commercial real estate excellence. This firm has earned Tier 1 rankings in real estate law and is recognized for its sophisticated transactional practice, collaborative team environment, and exceptional employee retention. Unlike large institutional firms, this organization offers meaningful work-life balance, direct attorney collaboration, and a culture where professionals build long-term careers.

The Role

This is a high-level position requiring a seasoned paralegal who has demonstrated expertise managing complex commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing. You will work on sophisticated matters including large-scale developments, institutional acquisitions, multi-parcel assemblages, and mixed-use projects requiring advanced title examination skills.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive title searches and examinations on large commercial development projects, including complex multi-property assemblages, ground-up developments, and major institutional transactions
  • Analyze title commitments, surveys, and exception documents; identify and resolve sophisticated title defects, easement issues, and encumbrance matters
  • Prepare detailed title objection letters and work directly with title companies, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to achieve title clearance
  • Review and manage due diligence for high-value commercial transactions including zoning compliance, environmental assessments, survey analysis, and entity verification
  • Coordinate complex closings involving multiple parties, lenders, and jurisdictions; manage critical deadlines across simultaneous transactions
  • Maintain organized transaction files and databases; prepare comprehensive closing binders and post-closing deliverables
  • Interface professionally with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, brokers, and governmental entities

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of paralegal experience in commercial real estate law
  • Proven track record conducting title searches and resolving title issues on large-scale commercial developments
  • Deep working knowledge of commercial real estate transactions, title insurance principles, Massachusetts recording requirements, and land court procedures
  • Paralegal certificate or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and ability to manage multiple high-stakes transactions simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor suitable for direct client interaction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, real estate database systems, and legal research platforms

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Culture of Retention: Long-tenured staff and low turnover reflect genuine respect and professional satisfaction
  • Sophisticated Work: Handle substantive, complex commercial transactions rather than high-volume residential work
  • Work-Life Balance: True hybrid flexibility with predictable schedule and reasonable hours
  • Collaborative Environment: Direct attorney collaboration in supportive, team-oriented culture
  • Prime Location: Modern Seaport office with excellent amenities and transit access
  • Professional Growth: Opportunities for skill development and increasing responsibility
  • Competitive Compensation: Salary range $80K-$120K based on experience, plus comprehensive benefits

Benefits Package

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with employer matching
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • Professional development support
  • Hybrid work schedule

To Apply

Please submit your resume highlighting your commercial real estate paralegal experience, specifically noting your involvement with large-scale development projects and title examination work.

Due to high volume, only candidates meeting the required qualifications will be contacted.
