Yearly Salary $100,000-150,000
Responsibilities
• Manages the overall operations of the contract, including: coordination;
scope of work; construction schedule, customer relations,
job cost management, cost control of project, purchasing, project staffing,
schedule of values, change order management, value decisions,
scope management, attendance at project meetings;
compliance of project specifications, foreman coordination of project,
and the performance of daily operations.
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, coworkers, and
the public.
• Conducting regular site visits to ensure quality standards and progress.
• Providing feedback to senior management and ensuring all project documentation is accurate and complete.
• Prepare monthly financial forecasts and updates. Ensure that the
contract is managed in a manner that meets all contractual requirements
and financial goals.
• Executes purchase of equipment and subcontractor contracts.
• Enforces safety program and coordinates with Safety Manager to ensure field
forces receive proper training and proper site safety practices and procedures
are followed.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project cost-effectiveness
while maintaining quality.
• Review and analyze blueprints and other Construction Documents to develop
comprehensive cost estimates.
• Contact suppliers, vendors, & manufacturers to identify material and
equipment pricing to support the estimate.
• Evaluate material, equipment, and subcontractor quotes to ensure alignment
with project scope and Specifications.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to gather necessary
project information, identify potential risks, and resolve estimation
discrepancies.
• Prepare detailed estimates particularly for plumbing and Mechanical/HVAC
systems utilizing estimating software.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project cost-effectiveness
while maintaining quality.
• Develop accurate, detailed proposals that clearly reflect the intended scope of
work and submit proposals in a timely manner.
• Maintain and update cost databases, ensuring current market rates and
historical data are reflected in future estimates.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy meetings and post construction
meetings as requested.
Requirements
• Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
• Solid problem solving and critical thinking skills to effectively lead projects as
key contact for clients and field alike.
• Possess interpersonal skills and a proactive nature to build strong
relationships and collaborate with team members, suppliers, and clients
while effectively driving schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project and Trimble
estimation software.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and project documentation.
• Thorough understanding of local and state plumbing/mechanical codes.
• Professional appearance, valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of submitting written proposals, scopes of work, scheduling and
coordinating site contractors and other assigned personnel; a thorough
understanding of construction schedules and operations and the ability
to meet demanding customer requirements.
• Ability to work with the customer to find mutually satisfactory solutions to
difficult issues.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with a strong eye for detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
