Responsibilities:
- Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
- Record medical history.
- Assist podiatrists with procedures.
- Clean and sterilize instruments.
- Perform x-rays of the foot/ankle.
- Scan patients for ankle foot orthosis.
- Remove plaster casts.
- Teach trigger point therapy to patients as directed by provider.
Requirements:
- Float between two office locations in Worcester and Westborough.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Medical assistant diploma/certification required, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
- 1-3 years medical assistant experience highly preferred.
- Familiar with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel.
- People-oriented – warm, professional, and helpful attitude.
- Calm and collected under pressure.
- Ability to think critically and exercise sound judgement.
- Motivated and adaptable-can effectively work alone or diligently with others.
- Receptive to change.
