Adecco Staffing is assisting a manufacturing facility in their search for a CNC Manufacturing Engineer. This is a Direct Hire Opportunity!

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer – CNC Machining
Schedule: 1st Shift
Pay: $85,000-$115,000 per year

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer supports CNC machining operations by improving efficiency, ensuring product quality, and optimizing manufacturing processes. This role works cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet performance, cost, and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review product designs for manufacturability, tolerances, quality standards, and cost drivers

  • Determine and design/procure required fixtures and gages

  • Prepare setup sheets, manufacturing documentation, and shop-floor instructions

  • Program CNC machines; troubleshoot start-up issues and optimize cycle times, feeds, and speeds

  • Provide hands-on shop-floor support for lathes, mills, and mill/turn equipment

  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for machining and quality issues

  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, supervisors, and operators to improve productivity

  • Assist in operator training on procedures and best practices

Qualifications

  • AS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience supporting CNC machining

  • Strong CNC milling and turning experience (mill/turn a plus)

  • CAD/CAM proficiency and understanding of drawing/dimensioning standards

  • Working knowledge of machining practices, workholding, inspection, and shop math

  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems preferred

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment

  • Frequent standing, bending, and movement on the shop floor

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity for precision machining tasks

Position Details

  • Full-time, salaried position

  • Standard business hours, Monday–Friday

  • Occasional travel may be required
