Job Description

Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesCollaborate with management to plan and coordinate production schedules that meet customer delivery deadlines
Attend weekly production and Change Parts meetings to review current work, upcoming jobs, material availability, and engineering changes
Monitor execution of the production plan and proactively resolve scheduling or material issues
Run MRP reports daily and take appropriate action
Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure timely availability of materials and components
Monitor parts progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery commitments
Communicate schedule changes and priorities to Production, Change Parts, Spare Parts, Shipping, Purchasing, and management teams
Issue parts pick lists as needed to support production and parts schedules
Create Bills of Material (BOMs) from MRP when required
Plan inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess inventory
Implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), including issuing changes to the shop floor and coordinating updates for jobs in progress and materials on order or in stock
Close production orders and ensure costs are accurately captured
Review open orders, backorders, and forecast data to identify and resolve potential issues
Perform other related duties as assigned
