Job DescriptionAbout Sequel Sequel, headquartered in Manchester, New Hampshire, is a company developing the next generation of transformative drug-delivery advancements starting with diabetes. Sequel’s approach is to look at diabetes management holistically to advance systems that make living with diabetes simpler and easier for all. Sequel’s flagship product, the twiist Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) System, launched in July 2025 for people with type 1 diabetes providing them with personalized diabetes management. 
Job Overview Sequel Med Tech is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and implementation of our long-term data strategy while supporting shorter-term data needs for our digital health portfolio. As a Staff Analytics Engineer you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare for people living with diabetes, upskilling Sequel’s broader data and reporting capabilities while also working directly with our product teams as a subject matter expert on feature design and implementation. We are building out Sequel’s foundational data models that drive both clinical and business decisions where quality and accuracy are critical. If you are someone that proactively identifies problems, implements solutions, and values shared ownership and accountability, then this is the job for you. Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Building data models and data pipelines for Snowflake using DBT and Airbyte.
  • Ensuring the company’s data pipelines are efficient, well-tested, and accurate.
  • Work closely with business leaders, technical teams, customers, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities to solve healthcare problems with data and to translate those opportunities into data science questions and data engineering requirements.
  • Communicate complex data insights to clinical and business leaders to inform decision-making.
  • Build clinical and business dashboards in Lightdash.
  • Partner with technical teams to ensure data-driven functionality is designed, implemented, tested, and released with proper consideration to data quality, integrity, compliance, and use.
  • Ensure quality, inclusion, impartiality, and accessibility in delivered products.
  • Help develop best-in-class data science practices to support a rapidly growing organization.


Minimum Requirements

  • 6+ years’ experience in data science or data engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, or related field, or combination os relevant experience and education. Masters preferred.
  • Proficiency with SQL and Python with strong knowledge of data manipulation and analysis libraries.
  • Experience with data transformation tools such as DBT, SQL Mesh, Airflow, etc.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databrick, Big Query, Redshift, etc.
  • Experience with engineering best practices including the use of version control.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in healthcare, including both patient- and clinician-facing applications.
  • Awareness of healthcare regulations and ethical considerations related to patient data.
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, etc.).
  • Understanding of clinical data structures, coding systems, and healthcare terminology. Diabetes experience highly preferred.
