Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Job Location: Ayer, MA Job Type: Full-Time
Job Description:
<ul>
<li>Perform skilled repairs and maintenance on gasoline and diesel engines, including engine overhauls, brake and suspension work, electrical system repairs, and clutch replacements</li>
<li>Operate and document a preventive maintenance program, keeping detailed records of all work performed on vehicles and equipment</li>
<li>Repair power equipment and tools such as compressors, jackhammers, and mowers.</li>
<li>Order and manage parts inventory, prepare and maintain repair records, and assist in developing vehicle specifications</li>
<li>Operate vehicles for snow removal and sanding during winter, plowing, and perform emergency highway operations as needed.</li>
<li>Ensure safe practices in vehicle servicing, maintain a daily log of activities, and update the DPW Computer Maintenance and Management System</li>
