We are seeking a Service Writer to join our team in Exeter, New Hampshire and serve as the critical link between our customers and technicians. We’re more than just a truck repair shop — we’re a team of professionals dedicated to keeping commercial trucks safe, reliable, and on the road. With years of experience in heavy-duty truck maintenance and repair, we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and quality workmanship.
As a Service Writer, you will be responsible for managing service requests, scheduling repairs, preparing estimates, and maintaining clear communication between customers and our shop staff. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, personable, and has a strong understanding of the truck repair industry.
Compensation:
- $25.00 - $30.00/hour to start.
- Health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, health savings account, and PTO.
- 401K with match.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day shift, 8:00am - 5:00pm (Monday to Friday).
- Greet customers and gather information about their service needs.
- Create detailed repair orders and service estimates.
- Verify warranty and service contract coverage.
- Coordinate with technicians to determine repair timelines and costs.
- Act as liaison between customer and technician.
- Maintain accurate records of service history and customer communications.
- Invoicing, warranty claims, and other administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Service Writer or in a customer service role within the truck repair industry.
- Basic knowledge of diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty equipment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient with computer systems (experience with shop management software a plus).
