Job Overview:
As a valued member of our service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles with precision and efficiency. You will also mentor junior technicians, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and consistently deliver outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Service Advisors to understand customer concerns and ensure accurate repairs
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles according to manufacturer specifications
- Perform detailed multi-point inspections and clearly communicate findings and recommendations
- Provide guidance and support to junior technicians
- Document all repair work thoroughly and accurately on repair orders
- Conduct test drives to verify repair quality and customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly care for your personal tool set, ensuring it is complete and ready for all required repairs
- Handle customer vehicles with care—return them clean, with seat settings and radio presets unchanged, personal items replaced as found, and park completed vehicles in designated areas with all protective coverings removed
- Use shop equipment carefully and report any damage to management immediately
- Complete required training and ASE certifications in a timely manner
- Exhibit professionalism, respect, and a strong work ethic with customers, co-workers, and management
- Complete tasks and requests assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4+ years of automotive repair experience (flat rate experience required)
- ASE and/or OEM certifications highly preferred
- Proficient with factory diagnostic tools and repair procedures
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must have and maintain your own complete personal tool set to perform all required repairs
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and a commitment to quality work
