SUMMARY

The Field Pharmacy Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our field operations by conducting various audits, managing medication inventory, providing user training, resolving issues, and facilitating communication with healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will be organized, possess strong attention to detail, and demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Predictable, reliable, and punctual attendance is an essential function of the job role. The functions are as follow but not limited to:

· Installation of MedBank Tower & MedFlex Cabinet:

· Efficiently install and set up MedBank Tower and MedFlex Cabinet systems at client locations.

· Ensure all components are correctly assembled and configured for optimal performance.

· Training:

  • Provide comprehensive training sessions to clients on the proper use and maintenance of MedBank Tower and MedFlex Cabinet systems.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, such as user manuals and instructional videos, to facilitate user understanding and proficiency.
  • Conduct follow-up training sessions as needed to ensure continued user competency and address any additional questions or concerns.

· General Maintenance:

  • Perform regular maintenance checks on MedBank Tower and MedFlex Cabinet systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise, ensuring minimal downtime for the client.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and any repairs performed, maintaining a log for future reference.

· Long-Term Care Centers (LTC):

  • Work proficiently within Long Term Care Centers, understanding and adapting to the unique needs and challenges of these environments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with LTC staff, ensuring their satisfaction with the MedBank Tower and MedFlex Cabinet systems.

· Travel Requirements:

  • Possess a reliable vehicle to travel to various customer locations as required.
  • Be prepared for frequent travel, sometimes at short notice, to provide on-site support, installation, and training.

· Remote Training and Troubleshooting:

  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively train clients and troubleshoot issues remotely using various communication tools and technologies.
  • Provide timely and efficient remote support to resolve client issues, minimizing the need for on-site visits.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds (22.7 kilograms) is required. This means the individual must be capable of safely and effectively lifting, carrying, and potentially maneuvering items of this weight. Proper lifting techniques should be utilized to avoid injury, including bending at the knees and using leg muscles rather than the back. This physical requirement is essential for tasks that involve handling heavy materials or equipment as part of the job duties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· Education & Experience, Certified pharmacy tech (or willing to become certified) and minimum of 1 years of experience in similar role.

· Computer Skills: Intermediate computer proficiency. Pharmacy and medication distribution software (EMAR, Medbank, Frameworks preferred.

· Clean Driving Record: This means having a history free from significant traffic violations, such as DUIs, reckless driving, or multiple speeding tickets. It also indicates the absence of at-fault accidents or other serious infractions that would reflect poorly on one's driving abilities and responsibility on the road.

· Up-to-Date Vehicle Insurance: This entails having a current and active auto insurance policy that meets or exceeds the minimum coverage requirements as mandated by your state or country. The insurance policy should include the necessary coverages such as liability, collision, comprehensive, and any other coverage types required by law or advisable for full protection. The insurance documents should be renewed on time and readily available for verification.
