Clearance Level: Interim Clearance - Must be able to obtain an Active Secret Clearance- Must be US Citizen

About the Role:

Aquila is seeking aCyber Protection Specialist to join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The team is looking for a Cyber Protection Specialist who has knowledge of current hacking techniques, vulnerability disclosures, data breach incidents, and security analysis techniques. Knowledge of malware families, botnets, threats by sector, and various attack campaigns and attacker methods, tools/techniques/practices. Working knowledge in one or more of the following topics: Industrial Control System Security, Third Party Risks/Threats, Extremist Groups and Cyber Terrorists, Hacktivism, Distributed Denial of Service Attacks, Malware, Mobile or Emerging Threats, Social Engineering, Insider Threats.

There are a few requirements for the position:

  • Must be a U.S Citizen- Must be able to obtain an Active Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
  • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
  • Must be within 200 miles of worksite (Lexington, MA)

  • 4 years - Security Assessments, Tests, and Reviews
  • Strong customer service skills and communication
  • 5 years - Demonstrated technical depth with multiple Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, & Mac)
  • 3 years - Hands-on experience with vulnerability remediation across multiple OS's (Linux, Mac and Windows)

  • Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience with vulnerability remediation across multiple Operating System (OS) platforms to include Linux, Mac and Windows
  • Demonstrated proficiency with data analytics and supporting working groups

Location: Candidates will be able to work predominantly remotely with a final schedule TBD by the hiring manager. This individual should be within about a 2 hour driving distance; they will work remotely but must be flexible to come onsite a few times a month as needed.
