RemX is seeking a Mechanical Designer to create detailed mechanical designs and assembly documentation for advanced automated machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience with 2D/3D CAD modeling, mechanical assemblies, and supporting engineering teams in the design and development of industrial equipment. The Position:

  • Create detailed mechanical and assembly drawings, BOMs, and part layouts using 2D/3D CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD)
  • Modify and update machine and line layouts for automated packaging and processing systems based on customer requirements and design changes
  • Collaborate with project engineers to develop mechanical designs that integrate motors, drives, actuators, and pneumatic components
  • Process engineering change notices (ECNs) and maintain all associated documentation, ensuring design accuracy and revision control
  • Design and model minor components, brackets, frames, and assemblies to support new equipment builds and retrofits
  • Apply GD&T principles and tolerance analysis to ensure manufacturability, fit, and function of parts and assemblies
  • Maintain drafting standards, templates, and file management within the engineering database to ensure design consistency

The Details:

  • 2+ years of mechanical design experience using 2D/3D CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical assemblies, BOM creation, and ECN processes within an OEM or manufacturing environment
