Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A unique opportunity is available for a skilled nurse with specialized experience in Operating Room Trauma (ORT) nursing to support a high-acuity medical center in Brockton, MA. This contract position is ideal for professionals with Level 1 Trauma experience or those who have worked in busy, capacity-driven hospital settings. The assignment offers dynamic day and evening rotations that allow you to utilize and expand your expertise in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Proven experience in Operating Room Trauma (ORT) nursing
  • Experience in Level 1 Trauma or high-capacity hospital environments
  • Ability to adapt to varied shift schedules including days, evenings, nights, short calls, and weekends
  • Strong clinical judgment and effective communication skills in high-stress settings

Schedule / Hours:

  • Option to work 4x10 or 4x12 shifts with day and evening rotations
  • Evening shifts: 4x10 (1p-11p) or 4x12 (11a-11p)
  • Day shifts: 4x10 with varied hours including early mornings and evenings; 4x12 with extended daytime coverage
  • Includes at least two weeks of night shifts per contract
  • Night and weekend shifts as scheduled, with a balance of 8- to 12-hour shifts to meet contracted hours

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert nursing care in the operating room setting, focusing on trauma and high-acuity cases
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient safety, surgical readiness, and post-procedure care
  • Manage rapid-paced trauma situations with critical thinking and precision
  • Maintain documentation and comply with regulatory standards and hospital protocols
