What You’ll Do:
Provide direct, specialized clinical intervention and leadership as the substance use expert within our ACCS programs.

  • Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments and develop/implement individualized treatment plans using recovery-oriented and evidence-based practices.
  • Provide clinical supervision, modeling, and training to direct care staff on substance use interventions and risk/safety plans.
  • Serve as a rotating on-call clinician, providing crisis intervention and support.
  • Coordinate care with all external providers and Care Coordination Entities to ensure integrated treatment.
  • Ensure compliance with all DMH, licensing, and accreditation standards.

What You Bring (Requirements):

  • Critical Credential: Current, valid Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor I (LADC I) credentialin Massachusettsisrequired. (Note: Under DMH's Pathways to Licensure, a CADC or LADC II may be substituted but cannot function as anLPHA.)
  • Experience: Experience working with individuals diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
  • Skills: Proficiencyin evidence-based practices (MI, Harm Reduction, SBIRT), strong clinical documentation, and effective team collaboration.
  • Logistics: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to provide on-call coverage.

Bonus: Lived experience and/or fluency in languages prevalent in Southeastern MA (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese) are highly valued.
