Job Description

Under general supervision, you will dismantle, adjust, rework, repair, and perform packaging of equipment according to assembly drawings, schematics, and procedures, while maintaining a general understanding of compliance requirements. You will be responsible for upholding quality and safety standards, as well as contributing to operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and verify packaging components.
  • Perform instrument packaging safely and timely according to procedures or technical documents.
  • Complete and maintain quality and packaging documentation as required.
  • Comply with, participate in, and maintain 6S events and follow-ups.
  • Maintain and/or participate in daily management boards if applicable.
  • Assist with and complete inventory transactions.
  • Initiate proper disposition of defective parts using the NCE process.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and daily completion of the NCE process.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Perform equipment maintenance as required.
  • Understand and comply with all work safety rules and regulations.
  • Participate in cross-training to meet schedule needs.
  • Engage in special projects as requested.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet the production schedule.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and follow assembly drawings, procedures, and schematics.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, torque tools, crimpers, soldering, multi-meter, and oscilloscope.
  • Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Outlook; knowledge of Excel is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate.
  • Must be able to read and understand English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) knowledge is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of ORACLE and AGILE applications is preferred.
  • Ability to follow written procedures to maintain GMP compliance and ISO certification.
  • Comfortable using technology.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing or warehouse experience.

Work Environment

You will be working in a manufacturing environment with shift hours starting at 9 am. The use of pallet jacks/riders and forklifts is not required. The position offers the possibility of extension and requires comfort with technology. The role demands physical activity, which is representative of typical manufacturing tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Marlborough, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
