As we expand our system’s capabilities, we are seeking a motivated Manager, Dev Ops to join our team.
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to oversee all AWS infrastructure, including the Development Operations, Security Compliance, and Site Reliability operations within our organization. This role requires hands-on technical expertise in AWS management. The Manager, Dev Ops will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure, and will play a critical role in driving continuous improvements in our technology stack, along with management of a small team of DevOps Engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- AWS Infrastructure Management:
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Optimize AWS services based on performance metrics and cost efficiency.
- Site Reliability:
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and reporting systems to ensure uptime and performance of AWS servers and applications.
- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans and participate in incident response and resolution.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a small team of DevOps Engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Coordinate team efforts in system design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-On Technical Work:
- Participate actively in on-call rotation schedule for urgent issues and escalations.
- Perform system testing, software upgrades, and patch management to ensure system integrity and security compliance.
- Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with VP of Engineering and Chief Architect to define infrastructure strategies and roadmaps.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve efficiency and reliability of AWS infrastructure.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of AWS architecture, configurations, and processes.
- Create and update documentation for PCI and SOC2 Compliance
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the current PCI and SOC2 compliance efforts and support the annual audits.
- Establish company governance policies and procedures and align with the corporate governance policies.
Requirements:
Requirements Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience (8+ years) managing AWS environments, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, etc.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems administration and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, security best practices, and disaster recovery principles.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (preferably Jenkins), container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage a project.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation schedule and respond to after-hours incidents as needed.
The Ideal Candidate would also have
- Previous experience managing and leading a team of DevOps or IT professionals.
- Experience with the PCI Compliance process and requirements
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar
- Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Experience using Cloud Formation
