Directs and coordinates all activities of production department. This includes, but is not limited to receiving, batching, storage, filling, and packaging of all products produced at the facility. This is accomplished by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Core Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 3:00pm. Additional or adjusted hours may be requested based on business need.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinating all activities involved with the scheduling and allocation of resources necessary to produce all finished
- Ensure all products produced meet all quality
- Direct organizational operations, projects, or
- Hire, train, and otherwise manage personnel in accordance with essential duties of all managed job roles and in accordance with company culture
- Ensure all company and OSHA safety requirements are met and maintained
- Work closely with other department managers to maximize efficiency of the operation
- Operate the department within financial constraints of planned budget
- Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing
- Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
- Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational
- Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum
- Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with
- Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Production Superintendent for
- Compiles, stores, and retrieves production
- Prepare staff work schedules and assign specific
- Monitor suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary
Education and Experience:
- 5 years of production supervisory Minimum Associates degree in food science or manufacturing preferred
Skills and Competencies:
- Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work well with others
- Strong mechanical
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve
- Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
- Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals to make improvements or take corrective
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
The pay range for this position is$96,700—$116,500 USD
