Taunton, MA 02780
$64.27 per hour
Monday – Friday | 2nd or 3rd Shift (based on site need)

  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (only as coverage when needed)


Pharmacist Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Evening Pharmacist to join our team in Taunton, MA. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe, effective, and compliant dispensing of medications while providing exceptional patient care and support. This role may alternate between 2nd and 3rd shift depending on site coverage needs.


Pharmacist Responsibilities

  • Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse or drug-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Verify that prescribed medicines are suitable and properly documented.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient and pharmacy records.
  • Advise patients on proper medication use, side effects, interactions, and storage.
  • Provide patient consultations and health services, including smoking cessation, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
  • Educate patients on medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Compound and prepare sterile or non-sterile medications as needed.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and clerical staff.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.


Pharmacist Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
  • Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License in good standing.
  • Proven experience in a hospital, fulfillment, or retail pharmacy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
