We are seeking an experienced and driven Collision Center Manager to oversee daily operations of our collision repair facility. This role is responsible for managing staff, ensuring high-quality repairs, delivering exceptional customer service, driving profitability, and maintaining compliance with safety and insurance standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, industry expertise, and a proven track record of managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced collision repair environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily operations of the collision repair center, including production flow, quality control, and customer experience
- Manage estimating, parts procurement, repair scheduling, and job completion timelines
- Lead, train, and mentor technicians, estimators, and administrative staff
- Ensure all repairs meet OEM standards, safety regulations, and insurance guidelines
- Maintain strong relationships with insurance partners, vendors, and customers
- Review repair estimates, supplements, and final invoices for accuracy and profitability
- Monitor KPIs including cycle time, gross profit, customer satisfaction, and rework rates
- Implement operational improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and profitability
- Enforce safety policies, environmental regulations, and shop procedures
- Handle customer escalations and ensure timely resolution
- Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and facility standards
- Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee retention
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a collision repair or automotive body shop environment
- Proven track record managing production teams and meeting operational and financial goals
- Experience working with insurance carriers, DRP programs, and estimating platforms
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Business, or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of collision repair processes, estimating, parts sourcing, and OEM procedures
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Strong communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Proficiency with estimating systems such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex
- Ability to manage budgets, production schedules, and performance metrics
Certifications (Preferred or Required)
- I-CAR Gold Class Certification (preferred or required, depending on company standards)
- ASE Certification in Collision Repair or Management (preferred)
- OEM Certifications (Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, etc.) a plus
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
