An opportunity is available for a Special Education Student Records Clerk on a temporary contract basis, offering approximately 24 hours per week through the end of December. This role provides flexibility in scheduling, allowing for adaptable workdays and times to accommodate your availability.
Located in New Bedford, MA, this position is ideal for individuals with a background in educational environments and a keen eye for detail. The primary responsibilities focus on maintaining accurate student records for the special education department, supporting communication with families, and assisting with scheduling meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update Special Education student records efficiently and accurately.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings with parents and educational staff.
- Communicate professionally via phone and email with parents and school personnel.
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google applications for record keeping and communication.
- Collaborate with the Special Education team to ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient phone etiquette.
- Experience scheduling and coordinating meetings.
- Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, and Google applications.
