Location: Bellingham, MA
Schedule: Full-time
Pay Rate: $35/hr

Position Summary

Staffworks Group is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and oversee quality operations within a CNC machining and manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing the Quality Control Inspection team, including CNC Quality Control Inspectors, while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards. The Quality Manager will drive continuous improvement, maintain quality systems, and partner with production and engineering to ensure product conformity and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise, train, and mentor Quality Control Inspectors and related quality personnel.
  • Assign inspection priorities and ensure adequate coverage for in-process and final inspections.
  • Review inspection results and support inspectors in dispositioning nonconforming product.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support skills development within the quality team.

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 requirements.
  • Prepare for and lead internal, customer, and third-party audits.
  • Ensure inspection processes, documentation, and records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
  • Manage calibration programs for inspection and measurement equipment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the primary quality liaison between production, engineering, and management.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and process changes.
  • Communicate quality metrics, risks, and improvement opportunities to leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality standards.
  • Proven experience leading audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
