Autumn Harp, Inc. is a private-label, custom manufacturer of cosmetics and personal care products. The company’s state of the art facility provides premium service and creative solutions to product development and manufacturing of skincare, color cosmetics and lip care products, in service to the personal care industry. Our OTC facility provides support to clients who range from major global corporations to independent brands. Autumn Harp is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Production Laboratory Technician to join our growing Production Laboratory team. This role supports both microbiology and analytical labs, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished cosmetic and OTC personal care products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow strict safety protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe lab environment.
  • Receive, label, and prepare samples for microbiological and analytical testing.
  • Prepare culture media, reagents, and diluents.
  • Conduct product testing using methodologies such as plate counting, HPLC, ICP, GC, and other instrumentation.
  • Maintain lab equipment and cleanliness.
  • Accurately record and input test results into LIMS or approved systems.
  • Participate in ongoing training for new techniques and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all work aligns with regulatory standards (FDA, USP, PCPC, ISO 17025).
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Support lab KPIs and company-wide OSCOT goals.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a microbiology and/or analytical lab setting.
  • Experience in a regulated environment (FDA, USP, etc.) is a plus.
  • Microbiology and/or analytical lab techniques.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and equipment.
  • Experience with GLP, GDP, GMP, and regulated lab environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Preferred: Experience with LIMS, ELN, and/or ERP systems.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of biosafety levels and BSL-2 containment practices.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow written protocols and procedures.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Normal hearing and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
