Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:
The Senior IT Help Desk Technician provides advanced technical support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems across the facility. This role is responsible for troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and network issues, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations such as FDA, HIPAA, and ISO 13485.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Serve as team member for escalation point of Tier 1 and Tier 2 support issues.

· Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and network connectivity.

· Support specialized systems used in medical device manufacturing (e.g., ERP, MES, LIMS).

· Maintain and update IT documentation, asset inventory, and knowledge base articles.

· Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Engineering, and Operations.

· Assist in onboarding/offboarding processes, including account provisioning and hardware setup.

· Participate in audits and support validation of computerized systems.

· Provide after-hours support as needed for critical systems.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED:

· Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.

· 5+ years of IT support experience, preferably in a regulated manufacturing environment.

· Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Office 365, and networking fundamentals.

· Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Track-It).

· Familiarity with FDA regulations, HIPAA, and GxP compliance.
