LeachGarner has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Machine Operator to join our team and work the rolling mills on the 1st shift.
4-day work week!
Hours: 4:30 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Thursday
Responsibilities include:
- Set up and operate precision rolling mill to reduce heavy-duty precious metal stock to a precise thickness
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings
- Feed raw material
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
- Test operation of machines periodically
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift and maintains activity logs
- Use various hand tools, micrometers, calculators and related tools
- Maintain necessary records and move materials as necessary in performance of duties
- May be trained in other areas as needed
Requirements:
- Experience as a machine operator
- Ability to read mill tickets and manuals
- Must be able to understand and speak English
- Good math skills
- Must follow all safety rules and PPE requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent and consistent attendance
- Must be able to stand and move for a 10-hour shift
- Ability to reach stoop and crouch for long periods of time
- Visual acuity
- Ability to lift 70+ pounds repeatedly throughout a shift utilizing safe lifting practices
