VP of Engineering & AI – Financial Services – Boston, MA 02111
We are currently seeking candidates for a VP of Engineering & AI position. The VP of Engineering & AI will be responsible for leading the firm’s technology and AI vision across Software Engineering, Cloud, DevOps, Data Engineering, and AI/ML. This role partners closely with senior leadership to design scalable platforms, drive execution, and translate advanced technology and data capabilities into tangible business outcomes.
This is a full-time permanent position that will pay a base salary of $250K–$350K (depending on experience) plus bonus.
Responsibilities
- Set and articulate the organization’s engineering and AI roadmap.
- Provide leadership across software, cloud, data, and AI teams while elevating technical standards.
- Enhance data integrity, availability, and overall platform performance.
- Drive prioritization and delivery of critical technology initiatives.
- Embed AI-powered solutions and automation into core business processes.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure and manage external technology partners.
- Ensure systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Lead teams, influence stakeholders, and execute complex initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience across software development, data platforms, and cloud environments (AWS preferred).
- 8+ years in senior engineering or technology leadership roles.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI solutions, including LLM-based applications.
- Deep knowledge of cloud-native architecture and full-stack engineering.
- Strong communication skills with experience engaging executive leadership.
- Background in enterprise data platforms and data strategy.
- Experience in highly data-driven or regulated environments is a plus.
