Job DescriptionJob Title: Machinist – Optical Manufacturing
Location: Acton, MA
Pay Range: $18–$26 per hour (Based on experience)
Shift: 1st shift
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Machinist to join our team in a specialized optics manufacturing environment. This role involves operating and programming a variety of manual and CNC machines, including equipment specific to the optical industry. Experience with optics is a strong plus but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate manual and CNC machines used in the production of optical components
- Program and run 3-axis CNC machines (Haas experience is a plus)
- Learn and operate specialized optical machining equipment, including Optipro SX 150 and Optipro PX 200
- Perform quality checks and ensure precision of machined components
- Maintain equipment and keep work area clean and organized
- Follow safety and production protocols at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous machining experience required (optical machining experience is a plus)
- Ability to program CNC machines preferred
- Experience with Haas CNC machines is a plus
- Willingness to learn and operate optical-specific equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay Details: $18.00 to $26.00 per hour
