Job DescriptionOverview:

We’re seeking a reliable and compassionate bilingual Procedure Room Assistant to support healthcare professionals during various medical procedures. This vital role combines clinical, administrative, and patient-support responsibilities to help ensure a seamless and efficient experience for both providers and patients. Will train the right individual!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the patient for the procedure by positioning them comfortably and ensuring privacy
  • Help set up sterile fields, instruments, and equipment
  • Hold or assist with positioning medical instruments as directed
  • Ensure all necessary equipment is ready and functioning
  • Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments or tools
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or report issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Provide support and reassurance to patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Monitor the environment for cleanliness and disinfect surfaces and equipment
  • Ensure all equipment used is properly sterilized before and after use
  • Prepare the procedure room for the next patient, ensuring it is clean and well-organized
  • Schedule patient appointments for follow-up visits or future procedures
  • Answer patient inquiries, provide education on procedure details, and help resolve any concerns
  • Order medical supplies as needed and ensure the procedure room is properly stocked

As Procedure Room Assistant, you will also be expected to remain standing or moving for several hours each day and will be required to wear lead aprons during procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

Willingness to cross-train and assist in various clerical and clinical support areas, which may include but not limited to:

  • Front Office: Check in /out patients, answer phones, verify insurance, schedule appointments, unpack office supplies and more...
  • Patient Care Tech: Prepare room and patient for provider visit, obtain vitals, perform urine screens, stock rooms, setup equipment, restock supplies, and more...

Hours:

Monday: 8:00am-5:00pm
Tuesday: 9:00am-6:00pm
Wednesday: 8:00am-5:00pm (E/O Wednesday morning off)
Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm
Friday: 7:00am-3:00pm (E/O Friday is a 1/2 day)

Candidates must be fluent in Spanish and English to be considered

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
