Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers the opportunity to provide specialized support to high school students in a dynamic educational setting in Chicopee, MA. This contract role spans the full school year and requires an on-site presence to engage directly with students and faculty, fostering improved communication skills and academic success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments for high school students
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and families
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as needed
- Maintaining detailed records to support student achievements and compliance with guidelines
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to a positive school environment
Qualifications and experience:
- Active Massachusetts SLP License is required
- Proven experience working with school-aged children, specifically at the high school level
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an educational team
- Familiarity with educational strategies and speech-language pathologies common in school settings
