Job Description
Overview
A Level III Trauma Center in Manchester, New Hampshire is seeking an experienced RN Manager, Trauma Program to lead the coordination, quality oversight, and regulatory compliance of its trauma services.
This role is responsible for managing the trauma program across the full continuum of care, serving as a clinical and operational liaison with emergency medical services, and ensuring alignment with state and national trauma standards.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain a cost-effective, evidence-based trauma system of care

Coordinate trauma services across the continuum of care for trauma patients and families

Serve as primary liaison between the hospital and:
-
EMS agencies
-
Fire and ambulance services
-
Law enforcement
-
State trauma authorities
-

Collaborate closely with the Trauma Medical Director on program planning and execution
-
Develop and maintain trauma policies and procedures in accordance with state trauma regulations and best practices
-
Conduct concurrent chart reviews of trauma cases and maintain documentation within the trauma registry
-
Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for performance improvement; implement corrective action plans
-
Coordinate preparation for state and American College of Surgeons (ACS) trauma designation and site visits
-
Respond to trauma activations during scheduled work hours, providing leadership and quality oversight
-
Support emergency department initiatives and regional resource hospital responsibilities as assigned

Maintain oversight of trauma data reporting systems and ensure compliance with state EMS data requirements
Qualifications
Required:
-
Active Registered Nurse license (New Hampshire)
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
-
Minimum 3 years of recent trauma patient care experience in an acute care setting

Current certifications:

BLS
-
ACLS
-
PALS
-
TNCC
-
Preferred:
-
CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)
