Job Description:
\nWe are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join Valley Regional Hospital's Med Surg / Tele unit for an immediate start. This is a 13-week assignment with the potential for extension, primarily scheduled for overnight shifts. Candidates must be available to work on a guaranteed 36-hour week schedule, with three 12-hour night shifts.

Key responsibilities include:

\n\n

\n\t
• Providing comprehensive patient care in a small, rural hospital setting for a diverse patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric.\n\t
• Monitoring cardiac activity and responding to changes in patient acuity.\n\t
• Managing patient needs independently while maintaining high standards of care.\n\t
• Documenting clinical information accurately and timely.\n\t
• Adhering to hospital policies, dress code (personal scrubs of any color), and safety protocols.\n

\n\n

Additional details:

\n\n

\n\t
• The unit has a patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 5:1, with higher acuity patients (3-4:1).\n\t
• This position requires prior experience in a Medical/Surgical environment with cardiac monitoring proficiency.\n\t
• Preference for candidates with rural hospital experience and the ability to work independently.\n\t
• Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable.\n

Required Skills and Qualifications:

\n\n

\n\t
• Valid RN license (underline and bold RN License).\n\t
• Cardiac monitoring experience in Med Surg/Telemetry.\n\t
• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.\n\t
• Flexibility to work a minimum of three scheduled shifts per week.\n\t
• Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills.\n\t
• Excellent communication skills and adaptability to a rural healthcare setting.\n

Preferred Education & Experience:

\n\n

\n\t
• Active RN license in the state of New Hampshire (underline and bold NH RN License).\n\t
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Med Surg or Telemetry experience.\n\t
• Experience in rural healthcare settings is highly desirable.\n\t
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.\n\t
• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required (underline and bold BLS and ACLS Certifications).\n

Certification and License Requirements:

\n\n

\n\t
• RN License: Active and valid RN license in the state of New Hampshire (underline and bold).\n\t
• BLS Certification: Current BLS certification (underline and bold).\n\t
• ACLS Certification: Current ACLS certification (underline and bold).\n

Additional Information:

\n\n

\n\t
• Holiday coverage is required, specifically working two of the following: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and the weekends surrounding these holidays.\n\t
• RTO (Requested Time Off) during the assignment must be noted and approved prior to upload; requests after upload will not be considered.\n\t
• No non-billable orientation OT, and holiday multipliers apply at 1.25x.\n\t
• The facility will not consider candidates residing within 50 miles.\n
