Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool night position with strong cardiac monitoring skills and willingness to float to multiple units.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a hospital float pool setting covering up to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units
- Care for a diverse patient population including ED border patients, non-vented ICU transfers, and medication support in the acute mental health unit
- Clinician to patient ratio is up to 6:1 on nights and up to 5:1 on days/evenings
- Perform cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and read tele strips throughout the shift
- Shifts are 12 hours, 19:00-07:30, with every other weekend required
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Responsible for cardiac monitoring, administering drips, and timely interpretation of tele strips
- Must be willing to float among up to eight different hospital units as needed
- Proof of MA licensure required at submission for consideration
- RTO (requested time off) must be provided for consideration
- Parking is not validated and may incur daily costs; public transportation and parking options are available
- Dress code and scrubs information will be provided upon assignment
- First-time travelers will be considered

- Active Massachusetts RN license required at the time of consideration—no conditional licenses accepted
- Minimum two years of recent acute care hospital experience is preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from AHA required
- Strong skills in telemetry monitoring and cardiac strip interpretation required
- TR Band experience preferred
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions allowed
