Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Travel Position

Location: Beverly, MA
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12s Nights
Pay: $2,736/week

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Beverly, MA. The Emergency Nurse will provide urgent, compassionate care to patients with acute medical conditions and trauma in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, adaptable, and experienced in emergency and critical care nursing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform rapid assessments, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in patient condition.
  • Provide direct patient care to individuals presenting with urgent and emergent medical needs.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions in accordance with physician orders.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate timely and effective care.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital safety policies, infection control standards, and emergency protocols.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts (or compact license, if applicable).
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
  • COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
  • Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide patient-centered care in high-pressure emergency settings.
