Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A licensed Physical Therapist is sought for a specialized role within an elementary school setting serving students in grades K-5. This position offers a unique opportunity to deliver targeted therapy services during the Extended School Year (ESY) program, supporting continuity of care for children with diverse physical needs.
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: Contract, Extended School Year (ESY)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of summer
Schedule: 4 hours per week, 1 day per week
Age Group: Kindergarten through 5th grade
Caseload: 11 students
Qualifications:
- Current Physical Therapy license in Massachusetts (MA)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for school-aged children
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students in compliance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess student progress and adjust therapy goals to optimize outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in required meetings related to student services
