Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing occupational therapy services within a K-12 educational setting, this full-time, contract position offers an engaging opportunity to support students developmental and functional needs. The role requires delivering therapy services 3.5 days per week in a preschool environment and 1.5 days per week in a high school setting, totaling a full five-day workweek.
Located in Exeter, NH, the position is available immediately and continues through the end of the current school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong preference for previous experience in school-based occupational therapy, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities in supporting children across different age groups and developmental stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to eligible students in preschool and high school settings
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to meet educational goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school district and state regulations
- Advocate for students needs and support their integration into classroom activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid occupational therapy licensure and certification
- Experience delivering occupational therapy services within school environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educational staff and families
- Familiarity with K-12 developmental milestones and age-appropriate therapeutic techniques
