About Timm Swimm Inc. dba Danvers YMCA Dolfins: We are entering our fourth season as a year-round competitive Swim Team. We are currently, predominately a 13 &amp; Under technique focused swim program looking to take the next step in the development of the program. We currently have three practice groups: Junior Academy (6-12), Academy White (7-12), Academy Red (9-13). The Dolfins practice out of the Danvers Community YMCA (5 lanes/25 yards) and Gordon College (6 lanes/25 yards) locations. With the backing of the Swimm with Timm swim lesson program, the program has rapidly expanded the Academy since it was initiated in 2020 to approximately 70 members, while the Junior Academy has stayed a consistent 30 swimmers throughout the season. We are separate, yet associated with the Danvers Community YMCA so we have the advantage of also getting to swim the season as a YMCA team and go to YMCA Championship meets as well as USA Swimming events.
 
About YOU: Our employees have the opportunity to be trained anywhere from a swim instructor to a swim coach. You love being in the water and educating kids of all ages! Instructors should have a minimum of two years’ group childcare, teaching, or coaching experience and be willing to obtain CPR, first aid, and lifesaving certifications within the first six months of employment.
 
We are also looking for professional coaches that have strong experience working with Age Group swimmers, with Junior and Senior level swimmer experience preferred. Time will be spent on deck coaching and running dry land practices as directed by the Head Coach. The Karishim Swim Club at the JCC Greater Boston in Newton, MA, is seeking a Swim Coach (KASC). The Aquatics Department is a friendly, high-performing team inspired to use its knowledge and passion to help athletes grow in and out of the pool. Swim coaches work with enthusiastic families and colleagues as they develop their teams. 
This is a part-time non-exempt position with 20+ hours a week, including weekend meets. Offering some great benefits and a competitive pay rate of $25-$30 per hour. The Recreation Department is seeking an individual to perform professional work in the safety and use of swimming pool(s), involving teaching all levels of swimming skills to individuals ranging from infants to senior citizens, assists in coordinating various aquatics programs and facility maintenance as needed, greets general public, answers questions and collects fees and registrations.
Part-time, hours vary. $16.49 per hour. Position is open until filled.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position. The listed examples may not include all duties found in this class):
1.Patrolling of the pool. Maintain and enforce safety rules and regulations. Organize and conduct safety and rescue drills.
2.Teach all levels of swimming skills to individuals ranging from infants to senior citizens.
3.Attend to many items simultaneously, and/or in sequence.
4.Greet public using the aquatic facilities.
5.Participate in the patrolling of the pool.
6.Receive user’s fees and handle cash drawer.
7.Collect fees for memberships, lockers, and facility use.
8.Maintain and enforce safety rules and regulations.
9.Respond to public inquiries about aquatics programs made by telephone, correspondence, or in person.
