The energy of the camp is lively, playful and warm, as both campers and staff develop lifelong friendships. We are looking for a photographer to capture all the magic and fun that happens at camp and package it for our marketing materials and newsletters. 
JCC Greater Boston offers free bus service for staff from Cambridge, Brookline, Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury, Wayland, Framingham, Natick, Needham, Newton and Wellesley during the summer season.

Along with the DCH Program Director and other aquatic leadership, the Aquatics Director coordinates and supervises all aspects of the DCH Summer Aquatics program and seasonal pool. The pool operates from June 6th to August 30. The Aquatics Director is required to work until at least August 22nd to comply with BOH regulations for our Summer Camp Program.
Essential Job Functions:
<ul>
<li>Assist in the opening and set-up of the DCH pool in early June</li>
<li>Daily chemical testing as required by the State of Massachusetts and BOH.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and safe aquatics area, including locker rooms, a pool deck, bathrooms, and a pavilion area.</li>
<li>Work with the pool operator to ensure the proper operation of pool mechanics.</li>
<li>Ensure that equipment is ordered and maintained, and report items in disrepair to the Facility Manager and Program Director.</li>
<li>Ensure all hours of operation are appropriately staffed, including being responsible for finding coverage or substituting when necessary.</li>
<li>Ensure that staff, members, and campers adhere to all safety rules.</li>
<li>Schedule daily breaks for you and your staff and monitor if they are being appropriately taken.</li>
<li>Schedule daily rotations considering weather and pool usage.</li>
<li>Train aquatics staff to deliver impeccable customer service to all members and patrons at the pool. If problems arise intervene when necessary.</li>
<li>Train staff on how to give swim lessons and instructional swimming during summer camp hours.</li>
<li>Work with the Program Director on pool closing decisions due to inclement weather and potential rescheduling of lessons/programs resulting from said closing.</li>
<li>Review and approve time sheets for all aquatic staff on a bi-weekly basis.</li>
<li>Attend weekly summer leadership meetings.</li>
<li>Provide lifeguard staff with evaluations</li>
<li>Fulfill any appropriate duties for the position that may arise and that are not mentioned in this job description.</li>

Creative projects, active games, friendship building, and fun are also part of every camp day.

The Role: 
As a Camp Educator (Counselors), you are responsible for direct supervision of campers 5-10 years old, and the planning and daily facilitation of all camp activities.

Advocate Counselors are part of our camp’s Inclusion Team, working directly with campers with disabilities and individualized needs. Guided by ICPs (Individual Camper Plans) and supported by our Inclusion Team, Advocate Counselors partner with co-counselors to ensure that every camper is safe, supported, and fully included in their bunk and camp activities. 
JCC Greater Boston offers free bus service for staff from Cambridge, Brookline, Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury, Wayland, Framingham, Natick, Needham, Newton and Wellesley during the summer season. 
What you will do each day: 
Each morning, you’ll connect with your camper, making sure they feel welcomed and ready for the day. You’ll support them in joining their bunk for activities – whether that means going over the schedule with them, cheering them on during sports, modeling skills and providing hands-on support in arts &amp; crafts, or being in the water with them at swim. Throughout the day, you’ll model patience, empathy, and creativity as you help campers navigate challenges and celebrate successes. You’ll work closely with co-counselors and our Inclusion Team to adapt supports as needed.
