PathWays of the River Valley has been supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in Sullivan and lower Grafton Counties for the last 50 years. We are dedicated to providing opportunities and opening doors in the community for the people we serve. Currently, we have a Program Manager position available at our licensed residential home located in Lyme, NH. Join us and become part of our legacy.
We are looking for a team player to oversee the daily operations, in conjunction with another manager and nursing staff, of a residential home ensuring quality services are provided to the individuals served. You will supervise residential support professionals and serve as the liaison for teams and meetings related to the services provided. You will need to perform direct care (including personal care such as toileting, bathing, feeding, etc.) as needed as well as ensuring that daily tasks such as laundry, cooking, etc. are completed. You will also engage in enhancing and/or developing community resources and oversee records management for the program. 
The position reports to the Director of Residential Programs and is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.
Qualifications and Requirements for the positions:

<li>All PathWays' positions require the completion of a comprehensive background check including a criminal background check, MVR, DCYF, BEAS, and OIG checks.</li>
<li>Candidates must be able to provide at least two professional references</li>
<li>A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred -- extensive program management experience may substitute for the degree. </li>
<li>A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience is required.</li>
<li>A minimum of 2 years of human services experience is required; developmental disabilities experience is highly preferred</li>
<li>Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to frequently and efficiently switch gears between tasks</li>
<li>At least intermediate proficiency in MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li>

Personal Mentors are a part of our mission by working one-on-one with an individual to integrate into their community and meet personal goals. Mentors work very closely with the individual's family and the family oversees the daily activities and schedule.
Being a Mentor can make a difference in an individual's life. Here are some areas that families need/want: library time, volunteering, personal care, daily living skills, horseback riding, arts, grocery shopping, medication administration, fitness, employment support, social events, and behavioral support. What you do varies by individual and family. Most of our Mentor positions are part-time with varying schedules as determined by the family. 
We are looking for people with positive attitudes, friendly demeanors, resourcefulness, and patience, and who enjoy being part of the community. Some individuals require assistance with personal hygienic care, some require medicine administration -- experience with either is helpful though you will be trained as well. We also serve individuals who require behavioral support and/or are on the Autism Spectrum. Opportunities are available throughout Sullivan and lower Grafton counties.
You must have a high school diploma or GED as well as excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal. Basic math and computer skills (MS Office) are required. You must be willing to work a flexible schedule and at varied locations as needed. Mileage is paid for such travel. Experience with developmental disabilities and/or autism is a plus.

As a Residential Support Professional (RSP), you will work with the same individuals each day, which enables you to get to know them, see their progress, or recognize when something may be amiss. Are you patient, understanding of people’s differences, compassionate and attentive? Our Caregivers provide care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities and possibly behavioral challenges in a residential setting. At the residences, you may assist individuals with daily living skills, safety, communication, community integration, and social skills as well as bathing, meals, activities, toileting, and moving from location to location depending upon the individual's needs. You may also complete household tasks such as laundry, sweeping, meal prep, etc. Each individual has at least one goal to work on and you will play a vital part in helping him or her achieve those goals. Our residential programs provide a safe home environment and ensure that the individuals participate and engage in their community. You need to be a strong advocate for the individuals, a willing team player, and motivated to create the best possible experience for the individuals you work with.
