Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Provide support and assist people in our services with skills training in all activities of daily living during the day, evening and/or overnight hours (depending on the shift the employee is assigned).</li>

The Residential Manager is responsible for overall management of the residential site they supervise and all staff working in the sit). The Residential Manager will provide direct supervision of the Staff , the Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in the site. The Residential Manager is part of the ratio and will act as a role model for employees regarding the expectations of how the job duties should be performed, the attitude to maintain while at work and appropriate interactions with the individuals and other professionals. A commitment to the RHD values should be demonstrated as job duties are performed.
Essential Duties and Functions
Staff Supervision
<ul>
<li>Provide front line supervision of all site staff. </li>
<li>Meet regularly with and provide supervision to each site employee to provide skill training and mentoring that supports staff development and document and address any identified needs for improvement.</li>
<li>Manage site scheduling including all callouts, no-shows and time-off requests to provide coverage as needed.</li>
<li>Interview and make recommendations regarding new DSP candidates </li>
<li>Participate in and attend all planning and team meetings for each consumer.</li>
</ul>
Programming
<ul>
<li>Respond appropriately to crisis situations by notifying the appropriate persons, completing/submitting incident reports.</li>
<li>Report any medical concerns to the unit leadership and/or agency nurse immediately.</li>
<li>Develop and coordinate the planning of monthly consumer activities and ensure implementation, providing required funds.</li>
<li>Overall day to day Management of units and sites as prescribed in ISP or treatment plans. </li>
</ul>
Administrative
<ul>
<li>Manage, monitor, and reconcile all site and consumer-related expenditures. </li>
<li>Oversee the maintenance, upkeep and safety of the physical site and site vehicles, reporting needed repairs, upkeep and conditions to the Unit Director. </li>
<li>Monitor and ensure the timely completion of all site documentation (logs, medications, inventories, incident reports, assessments, progress van logs etc.) and communicate issues and/or problems directly to Program Director. </li>
<li>Ensure home is prepared for State licensing visits including consumer files, medication records, and physical site. </li>
<li>Other duties as assigned. </li>

Requirements
 
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma</li>
<li>Minimum 5-6 years’ experience working with adults with IDD/Behavioral Mental Health Diagnosis/Drug and Alcohol Recovery Programs. </li>
<li>Must have and maintain a MAP certificate for the safe administration of medication.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the appropriate regulations, RHD values and program policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Basic computer and internet literacy with the ability to utilize applications like emails, time recording and other programs to enter and retrieve data as necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. </li>
<li>Valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle with state minimum liability insurance coverage.</li>
<li>Subject to employment screenings, including FBI clearance, if applicable. </li>

North Suffolk is looking for Direct Support Professionals to join our team! Direct Support Professionals are members of a team responsible for providing high quality direct care services to adults with developmental disabilities. As a nonprofit organization, we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. We are looking for both entry level and experienced individuals to work as Direct Support Professionals in our residential homes. The right candidates will be responsible for providing care and assistance to Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Salary: $20 per hour. 
$2.00/hour differential for high intensity programs
What you’ll do:

<li>Offer guidance for residents during skills building</li>
<li>Develop and implement individual treatment plans for residents</li>
<li>Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, money management, doctor’s appointments and assisting with personal hygiene</li>

What you’ll need:

<li>Education:

<li>High School diploma or GED required. </li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in any related field preferred.</li>

<li>Experience:
<ul>
<li>Zero to six years related experience (depending on DSP level) providing child care/elder care/direct support to developmentally disabled persons or previous experience supporting individuals in a mental health/special education or other human services setting is required.</li>
</ul>

<li>Skills:

<li>Must have valid Massachusetts Driver’s license. </li>
<li>Must be or able to become MAP certified</li>
<li> CPR/First Aid certified within five months of hire (training provided).</li>
