Job DescriptionNorth Suffolk is looking for Direct Support Professionals and Residential Support Specialists to join our team! These team members provide direct care to individuals living in a residential setting. Direct Support Professionals are members of a team responsible for providing high quality direct care services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities while Residential Support Specialists work with individuals with various mental health related diagnoses. As a nonprofit organization, we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. We are looking for both entry level and experienced individuals to work in our residential homes. 
Full and part time day, evening and overnight positions available in Chelsea, Winthrop, Revere, East Boston, Boston, Waltham, West Roxbury, Hyde Park and Saugus. Please indicate preference for location and shift.
Salary: $20 per hour. 
$2.00/hour differential for high intensity programs
What you’ll do:

<li>Offer guidance for residents during skills building</li>
<li>Develop and implement individual treatment plans for residents</li>
<li>Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, money management, doctor’s appointments and assisting with personal hygiene</li>
<li>Engage people and partner with them to improve their health and wellness, achieve symptom stabilization and self-management and develop and/or restore skills impacted by mental illness to help them live a self-directed life.</li>
<li>Ensure appropriate staff-to-client ratio at all time</li>
<li>Develop and promote a supportive relationship with the residents</li>
<li>Provide side-by-side support and coaching to help people socialize and become more involved in their community.</li>

What you’ll need:

<li>Education:

<li>High School diploma or GED required. </li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in any related field preferred.</li>

<li>Experience:

<li>Zero to six years related experience (depending on DSP level) providing child care/elder care/direct support to developmentally disabled persons OR</li>
<li> Experience supporting individuals in a mental health/special education or other human services setting OR</li>
<li>Experience working with a population that has severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorder.</li>

Residential Support Staff

Job DescriptionLeague School for Autism is an award-winning, year-round program dedicated to the education of children on the Autism Spectrum. Our team approach to education creates a collaborative, supportive and open environment within our community. We are currently seeking DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS for our residential program in Walpole. Full-time and part-time staff base rate is $22.00/hour with additional compensation based on degree status and certification, or verifiable equivalent experience working with children with autism. Relief staff earn $21.50/hour. We have an immediate need to fill OVERNIGHT shifts (11:00 p.m. – 9:00 a.m.). Other shifts include: Saturdays and Sundays all shifts, weekday afternoons, evenings.
Position Requirements:

<li>Must have HS diploma and preferably a Bachelor’s degree; or be in an undergraduate course of study, preferably special education, education, psychology, human services or social work. </li>
<li>Safety Care, CPR and First Aid certifications (training will be provided if you do not have these currently).</li>

<li>Valid driver’s license.</li>

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

<li>Must have good organization skills and be a creative problem solver.</li>
<li>Must be able to document all incidents and communicate effectively with clients, families, co-workers and supervisors. </li>
<li>All shifts require that staff be awake and alert at all times.</li>
<li>New hires must be available for regularly scheduled weekend work.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with all school staff members to coordinate support for students.</li>
<li>Transport students in League School vans as needed.</li>

What will you be doing? As an Associate Center Director, you will work with the Center Director, teachers, and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

<li>Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years. </li>
<li>Ensure that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom. </li>
<li>Assist the Center Director with adherence to childcare licensing requirements as well as internal policies of the company. </li>
<li>Understand, manage, and track expenses, revenue, and goals for annual budgeting. </li>
<li>Substituting as Center Director in the event of their absence.</li>
<li>Serve as a resource and leader to all personnel, striving to create and maintain a professional and motivating work environment.</li>
<li>Review staffing needs, scheduling, and classroom assignments. </li>
<li>Establish and maintain effective communication with children, parents and staff. </li>
