The Crane Technician will provide quality installation, inspections, maintenance and repair service for hoist and crane equipment. A Crane Technician will also uphold the highest level of professional integrity and ethics as required to instill customer confidence and continued success in service.

Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.</li>
<li>Perform OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns.</li>
<li>Perform preventive maintenance; and respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.</li>
<li>Support customers by effectively interfacing with customers and internal departments in repairing equipment as needed.</li>
<li>Perform electrical and /or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.</li>
<li>Maintain rapport with customers by promptly reviewing and addressing complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.</li>
<li>Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist.</li>
<li>Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.</li>
<li>Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.</li>
<li>Responsible for company equipment including, company vehicle(s), trailers, tools, etc.</li>

Education &amp; Qualifications
<ul>
<li>2-5 years’ troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment is required.</li>
<li>Thorough electrical knowledge of 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.</li>
<li>Overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.</li>
<li>Associate’s degree with concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or equivalent preferred.</li>
<li>Ability to work at height, in extreme temperature and noisy locations. This is a physically demanding job involving standing, walking, sitting and the ability to lift 50-100lbs.</li>
<li>Perform inspections to OSHA criteria.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently.</li>
<li>Capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing self and company in a professional and courteous manner.</li>
<li>Communication skills both internally and externally, informing both the company and customers of job status.</li>
<li>Quality and results driven while maintaining a safety mindset.</li>
<li>Required to use own hand tools and meter.</li>
<li>Must have a valid driver’s license.</li>
<li>Employment is contingent upon successful motor vehicle record, background check, and drug screen.</li>
