What You’ll Do:
Your Impact:
As part of the Appleton Farms crew, you’ll work the land at one of the oldest continually operating farms in the country and contribute to growing vegetables using organic practices on 35 acres for a 650-member summer CSA and 200-member winter CSA. You’ll be part of a team-oriented farm focused on soil health, efficient systems, and high-quality production on a 1000-acre property featuring a grass-fed beef operation, education and public programs, and beautiful grassland and forest trails. 

The Role: 
The Farm Crew position is a seasonal position with a variable work schedule. This individual works in aspects of organic vegetable production for summer and winter CSAs and wholesale accounts. These responsibilities include greenhouse and high tunnel production, field operations, vegetable harvest, and wash and pack. The farm crew is trained in farm systems and has an opportunity to learn organic and regenerative practices for vegetable production. There are full-time and part-time positions available. 

Specifically, you’ll:

<li>Work directly with the farm manager, assistant manager, and other farm crew </li>

<li>Implement the crop plan and aspects of production: greenhouse and high tunnel work, field transplanting, weed control, harvest, CSA distribution, and general farm maintenance projects. Please note that the CSA farm crew does not work in livestock operations. </li>

Engelberth Construction is seeking a Civil Estimator who provides expertise and support to the preconstruction and operation teams related to civil and site infrastructure work. 
The team member is responsible for:
· Developing estimates at all phases of design.
· Coordinating the subcontractor bidding process for CM and hard bid projects.
· Maintaining the civil estimating database.
· Providing internal coordination with other team members related to civil and site related work (cost, scheduling, design issues, bidding strategies, and other risk management efforts).
· Supporting operations teams with site related issues and business development efforts by assisting with RFP responses.
· Performing civil and site related material takeoffs.
· Coordinating with equipment and material vendors for current pricing.
· Developing cost estimates using Timberline/Sage estimating software.
· Understanding the subcontractor market conditions and developing subcontractor bid lists.
· Developing subcontractor bid packages directing specific trade work scopes.
· Reviewing subcontractor bids and proposals for conformance to requested information.
· Discussing estimates and subcontractor bidding results with Owners and Design team members.
· Providing constructability reviews and quality control feedback to designers.
· Developing cost reduction strategies and evaluating value engineering suggestions for cost and schedule impact.
The candidate for this position should have the following skills and experience:
<ul>
<li>5+ years of design experience or equal years of civil and site related subcontractor estimating experience.</li>
<li>Proficiency in MicroSoft Office products.</li>
<li>Have proficiency in (or the desire to learn) digital take-off and estimating software.</li>
<li>Commercial Construction Experience a plus.</li>
