Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Westfield, MA is seeking a skilled school psychologist to support student mental health and learning needs across multiple school settings. This position involves working within a school environment as well as travel to various school locations to provide comprehensive psychological services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students as needed
- Monitor student progress and adjust supports to maximize educational outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expert recommendations
- Travel between schools within the district to ensure consistent support across locations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psychological testing and interpreting results
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites efficiently
